Who's A? Toby or Jenna? Or Both?
The anonymous "A" has not stopped sending all the girls messages and threats. They are becoming very worried, and suspecting everyone around them; even eachother. Since Allison had gone missing they had tried to forget so much about their past, but unfortunately three years later, it's all coming back. The worst part is the incident all the girls caused, including Allison, a couple nights before she went missing.
Secrets is what kept them together.
Though Allison, Spencer, Aria, Emily, and Hannah were all the best of friends, they all kept their deepest secrets from each other. The only one that knew was Allison, and she thought having secrets from each other was a good thing. She would always say that their secrets is what kept them together. Unfortunately, Allison would use their secrets to threaten them. The odd thing is Allison's biggest secret was kept between herself and her mysterious, older boyfriend that none of the girls knew. She never told them who that older boy was, and they never figured it out either.

Pretty Little Liars By: Sara Shepard
"Never Trust A Pretty Girl With An Ugly Secret." According to Shepard, that is the moral learned at the end of this book. The 4 girls involved in the story; Aria, Emily, Spencer, and Hanna all have their own secrets that they have kept from each other and the only one that knows their secrets is Allison. Most of the Rosewood students consider her the leader of their group. And after Allison goes missing the group splits up; there is nothing to keep them together anymore and no way can she tell others their personal secrets. At least that's what they think, until 3 years after Allison goes missing. Little things from their past begin to appear, and it’s got all the girls spooked. The girls begin to receive messages and threats from some mysterious person that signs her messages as "A." Who could "A" be? Allison? What worries the girls the most is their biggest secret that they all share. The Jenna thing. "A" knows all their dirty secrets, and has come to Rosewood to tell it all.

Why now? Why 25 years later?
It's been 25 long years, and the T.V. show Deadline approached Cynthia with the idea make an episode on their show about her missing family. Deadline was a show that revisited bizarre unsolved crimes from years past, but also was chasing after the latest drinking-and-driving celebrity, or hunting down a pop star who'd failed to buckle her toddler into a seat belt. Terry, Cynthia's husband, was not into the show very much because he felt that the show was just getting his wife's hopes up. After shooting the show, any little thing that happened to Cynthia made her think that it was related to the disappearance of her family. The brown van at the corner of their house was the same person that had kidnapped her family, and he had come back to get her husband and daughter Grace too; according to Cynthia. The show made her very paranoid, but it did seem a bit strange that after the show many clues had begun to unveil.
Tess, whom was Cynthia's mom's sister, was the one person that took custody of Cynthia and cared for her until she went off to college. After the show, Terry spoke to Tess and told her how about the brown van, and a mysterious phone call. The person that called only said a few words to Cynthia; "I forgive you." After hearing these stories from Terry, Tess told him a secret that she had kept to herself since Cynthia began college. Some anonymous person had been leaving loads of money for Tess to pay for Cynthia’s education. They would leave the money inside the car and many other places where Tess would obviously see it. This anonymous person left her around forty-two thousand dollars all together. Along with the first $500 came a typed letter that said "This is to help you with Cynthia. For her Education, for whatever else you need. There will be more, but you must follow these rules. Never tell Cynthia about this money. Never tell anyone about it. Never try to find out where it's coming from. Never." But the big question was who was the mysterious person leaving Tess money for Cynthia? Was it her missing family?
